I'm supporting a client who is looking to hire 5 x Supply Chain Operations Managers to join a growing team on an initial 6-month rolling contract (potential temp-to-perm). This is a hands-on, high-impact role sitting between project management and supply chain focused on in-plant supplier engagement to drive efficiency and resolve complex delivery challenges.
What they’re looking for:
- Strong manufacturing background (ex-Operations Manager within a physical facility ideal)
- Experience working with complex mechanical components (e.g. castings, compressor blades)
- Solid engineering foundation (Mechanical preferred)
- Proven ability to influence internal & external stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a matrix, multi-faceted business
- Programme/project management capability
Travel: Flexible – could range from 25–75% depending on the account. Some weeks onsite with suppliers (potential 3-hour journeys to build relationships), travel expensed. Hybrid – 2–3 days in the Midlands office.
