To lead the contract and commercial management function on East Anglia Two Onshore Substation. Responsible for managing and negotiating as needed within the ONSS, with a clear focus on claims and variations and broadly performing the commercial tasks which are needed.

Expectations

  • Lead execution and management of complex high-value agreements with a substantial number of interfaces to coordinate and manage.
  • Manage all package commercial topics, including securities, payments, contract price adjustments, amendments, variations, notices, commercial disagreements with contractors, claims, budget variation requests, etc.
  • Provide internal reporting.
  • Ensure the contracts are executed on time, to budget and following the highest industry practice in terms of Quality and Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Ensure that the contractor complies with the contractual requirements, as well as SPR/IBR company standards, procedures, tools and best practices.
  • Provide key and strategic delivery advice, assessment and recommendations to the business providing key knowledge, lessons learned and support throughout the whole life cycle to support the business plan delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering/Naval Architectural) OR commercially orientated qualification (Legal, Quantity Surveyor).
  • Proven track of contract management.
  • Proven experience working in multicultural teams.
  • A good understanding and experience in negotiating and managing contracts.
  • Focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, while producing high-quality results in demanding timeframes.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
