A Project Manager, ideally with current DV Security Clearance, is needed to support our central government client to lead the delivery of complex estates, engineering and security-related projects within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
The Project Manager will need to operate with minimal supervision, managing multiple concurrent projects and delivering against tight timescales, strict budgets, and high governance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of medium complexity projects (up to c.£5m value)
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, GANTT charts and reporting packs
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting
- Implement robust risk, issue and change control processes
- Chair and contribute to governance meetings and stakeholder boards
- Produce highlight reports, checkpoint updates and escalation documentation
- Manage suppliers and third-party contractors, including NEC4 or equivalent construction contracts where required
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements including CDM 2015 regulations
- Support bid and proposal activity for new project opportunities
- Maintain high levels of stakeholder engagement and customer satisfaction
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMP, ISEB or equivalent project management qualification
- Proven experience delivering multiple concurrent projects in complex environments
- Strong background in planning, monitoring and controlling projects using recognised methodologies (PRINCE2 / APM)
- Current Security Clearance eligibility, ideally current DV Security Clearance or SC Clearance
- Experience managing project budgets and financial reporting from a supplier or delivery perspective
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrable experience in risk management, issue resolution and change control
- Experience working under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing health & safety compliance in project delivery (CDM 2015)
- Public sector or government project experience
- NEC4 contract management experience
- Experience of global logistics or overseas delivery environments
- MoR qualification or APM membership
- Microsoft Project Online experience
- Background in estates, engineering, infrastructure or security-related projects
12 month contract - Hybrid working with 3 days on site in Milton Keynes
Pay rate - £484.51 per day inside IR35
