Mechanical Junior Supervisor – Typhoon Location: Qatar Role: Mechanical Junior Supervisor Aircraft: Eurofighter Typhoon Contract Opportunity Take the Next Step in Your Typhoon Career Morson Edge is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Junior Supervisor to support a major Eurofighter Typhoon maintenance programme in Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Typhoon technician ready to take the next step into a supervisory position, providing technical leadership and guidance within a highly skilled aircraft maintenance environment. You'll undertake detailed maintenance and inspection activities on the Typhoon and its components, while supervising a team to ensure work is completed safely, correctly and to programme. Previous Typhoon experience is essential. The Role As a Mechanical Junior Supervisor, you'll combine hands-on aircraft maintenance with team leadership and technical oversight. You'll be responsible for ensuring maintenance activities are completed in accordance with approved technical information, work packages, regulatory requirements and established procedures. The role includes aircraft and component maintenance, fault diagnosis, inspections, repairs, modifications, servicing and functional testing, alongside supervising and developing less experienced personnel. Key Responsibilities Undertake detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on Typhoon aircraft and components Supervise teams carrying out maintenance tasks and ensure work is completed to schedule Ensure maintenance is performed using the correct approved technical information Diagnose and resolve aircraft system and component faults Undertake aircraft ground handling and flight servicing activities as required Support aircraft role changes, component removals, inspections, repairs and modifications Carry out fault rectification, component replacement and functional/system testing Raise ad-hoc work cards for faults identified during maintenance Ensure personnel are suitably competent and authorised for allocated tasks Maintain personal task authorisations and currency/recency records Carry out independent and vital inspections where authorised Provide technical guidance and leadership to team members Support the development of less experienced engineers through on-the-job development and formal assessment processes Maintain tooling and test equipment controls Ensure maintenance activities remain compliant with relevant procedures Escalate technical or programme issues where required Maintain a high standard of safety, housekeeping and FOD prevention Essential Requirements Previous Typhoon experience – essential Engineering apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or military equivalent qualification Minimum City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or equivalent Minimum 2 years' experience working at Technician level before undertaking a supervisory role Demonstrable experience and competence within an aircraft maintenance environment Strong understanding of approved technical data and aircraft maintenance procedures Experience supervising or providing technical guidance to maintenance personnel Practical experience applying aviation safety standards and safe operating practices Experience maintaining aircraft/component records and technical documentation IT literate Additional Requirements The successful candidate will be expected to have or complete relevant programme requirements, including: Typhoon Composite Flight Servicing Human Factors E&PW Awareness ITAR Awareness Fire Training Leadership Foundation PDR training/experience Relevant Exposition and Functionally Mandated Procedures awareness Why Consider This Opportunity?
