We're currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to support a busy and fast-paced assembly environment, working across complex electro-mechanical products. This is a hands-on role focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, supporting multiple projects, and ensuring high-quality builds delivered on time and to budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Manufacturing Instructions to support production
- Design, commission, and prove tooling required for assembly processes
- Support industrial validation activities (FMEA, FAI, etc.)
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing and technical issues
- Implement route card updates following rework or process changes
- Manage configuration control, incorporating design changes into manufacturing documentation
- Support non-conformance activities using SAP
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement
Essential Requirements:
- Qualification route: Advanced/Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering/Manufacturing plus Level 4 qualification (HNC/Diploma etc.) OR Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with ~5 years' experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate into clear build instructions
- Experience in electronic sub-assembly through to full system builds
- Knowledge of small/miniature electro-mechanical assembly processes
- Strong problem-solving skills within a manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills across multiple levels of the organisation
- Familiarity with structured processes and procedures
