Start Date: 3rd August - Long term work
£18.00-£20.00 per hour
Morson Edge is currently looking to recruit an experienced Storeman for a major construction project at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established site team on a busy project, where you will play a key role in managing site materials, plant and equipment, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the stores function.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving, checking and recording site deliveries
Organising and maintaining the site stores area
Issuing materials, tools, equipment and PPE to site personnel
Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
Maintaining accurate records of materials and equipment movements
Managing site inventory and carrying out regular stock checks
Operating forklift and telehandler equipment safely and efficiently
Liaising with site management, suppliers and subcontractors
Ensuring all stores operations are carried out in accordance with site health and safety procedures
Keeping the stores area clean, organised and secure at all times
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold ALL of the following:
Valid CSCS Card
Valid Forklift Licence
Valid Telehandler Licence
Previous experience working as a Storeman within the construction industry
Good knowledge of construction materials and site logistics
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team
Rate & Duration
£18.00-£20.00 per hour
