To ensure that all wheelsets, bogies, and associated components are inspected, tested, and certified in accordance with approved OMI's, customer specifications, the latest version of Interface Agreement, UK rail industry standards and applicable regulations. The role is responsible for maintaining product quality and compliance through robust inspection activities and the issue of Certificates of Conformity (CoC) prior to release. This role combines practical quality control with sound practices to ensure that safety-critical components are inspected, validated, and released in full compliance with client-approved VMI's and OMI's and where necessary OEM approved documentation.
Primary accountability of the role is to ensure through independent inspection and sampling that the formal release of wheelsets, bogies and associated assemblies undergoing overhaul meet the necessary standards for issue of a Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
