Overview

We are currently recruiting Dual Skilled Electrical & Mechanical Engineers on a long-term contract basis for a leading client within the rail rolling stock industry, based in Manchester. These roles sit within the maintenance team and offer the opportunity to work either day shifts or a rotating shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on rail rolling stock
  • Fault finding and diagnosis on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Perform inspections, repairs, overhauls, and component changes
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, quality, and industry standards
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports
  • Work collaboratively within a depot-based maintenance team

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Electrical qualification preferred, however strong mechanical backgrounds will be considered
  • Experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
  • Ability to fault-find and work across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures

Desirable Experience

  • Previous rail or rolling stock experience
  • Experience working within a regulated or safety-critical environment
