An organisation operating at national and international scale is looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS) to support and evolve a large, security-critical AWS environment as part of a major cloud transformation programme. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and development teams to design, build, and operate highly available, compliant, and cost-effective AWS services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and optimise AWS infrastructure and services
  • Support migrations from on-prem to AWS
  • Implement and maintain security, monitoring, logging, and DR controls
  • Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
  • Support AWS networking, WorkSpaces, and cost management

Key requirements:

  • 5+ years' hands-on AWS engineering experience
  • AWS Associate certification (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of core AWS services, networking, and security best practices
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform)
  • Strong Linux skills; scripting experience desirable

Nice to have:

  • ISO27001 experience
  • Containers (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • ITIL / structured service management experience
