An organisation operating at national and international scale is looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS) to support and evolve a large, security-critical AWS environment as part of a major cloud transformation programme. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and development teams to design, build, and operate highly available, compliant, and cost-effective AWS services.
Key responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and optimise AWS infrastructure and services
- Support migrations from on-prem to AWS
- Implement and maintain security, monitoring, logging, and DR controls
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Support AWS networking, WorkSpaces, and cost management
Key requirements:
- 5+ years' hands-on AWS engineering experience
- AWS Associate certification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of core AWS services, networking, and security best practices
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform)
- Strong Linux skills; scripting experience desirable
Nice to have:
- ISO27001 experience
- Containers (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker)
- ITIL / structured service management experience
