About the Role Morson Edge are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Production Technician on behalf of our client to support safe and efficient operations at onshore gas processing terminals in Barrow.
As a member of a 24/7 shift team, you will operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure process plant, utilities, and control room systems to ensure continuous production and operational excellence.
- Shift pattern: 12-hour day / 3 weekly shift pattern
- Monday & Tuesday days, Wednesday & Thursday nights, 5 days off
- Wednesday & Thursday days, Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights, 4 days off
Friday, Saturday & Sunday days, Monday & Tuesday nights, 5 days off.
Day rate : £229 per day (please enquire - open to negotiation) Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor high-pressure gas processing plant, utilities, and control room systems.
Conduct site patrols, perform sampling, carry out first-line maintenance, and provide accurate operational reporting.
Support permit-to-work activities, plant preparation, and safe return to service.
Identify defects, raise work orders, and contribute to maintaining production continuity and product quality.
Promote and uphold high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance at all times.
Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have experience within petrochemical, gas processing, utilities, or another high-hazard process environment.
A sound understanding of engineering principles, plant operations, and safe working procedures is essential.
Those from Maintenance backgrounds would be suitable.
Education and Qualifications Level 3/BTEC Ordinary Certificate, ONC, or an equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
Engineering Apprenticeship or relevant operational experience is desirable.
