Morson Edge are looking for a Plant Operative / Mixing Labourer in the Chawston, Bedfordshire, to work on a mobile mixing plant, supporting major highway projects in the region, offering long term work.
The role will involve:
- Working around a mobile mixing plant (Readymix)
- Supporting a Loading Shovel driver on site
- Cleaning the mixer out to ensure the consistent supply of material, including concrete
- Taking deliveries
- Briefing drivers (Banksman)
- Digging out under machines
- Cleaning belts
- Operating a Battery Operated Breaker for short periods of time
Successful candidates will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a similar environment, such as on a concrete mixing plant
- CSCS / CPCS / NPORS Card
- Fit For Work / Safety Critical medical
- Highways Passport & Highways Common Induction (Preferred but can be supplied for the right person)
- No HAVS restrictions (Allowing short term operation of Battery Operated Breaker on site)
- MP Connect Card (Preferred but can be supplied for the right person)
- An understanding of health and safety regulations within construction aggregates
- Strong communication skills, being punctual, reliable and a team player
