Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator to work on behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in RAF Lossiemouth. This is a contract role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
The purpose of Fixed Wing Execution Supply Chain Management is to ensure effective delivery of goods and services to support the success of our clients' programmes as defined through our clients' strategy. The Supply Chain Team (SCT) has responsibility for forecasting, proposal management, contract change component maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) inventory maintenance procurement, supplier management, warehouse storage, and parts distribution.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Provide tactical Supply Chain support to UK Fixed Wing activities and contracts utilizing Supply Chain Support Best Practice.
- Responsible to the Fixed Wing Execution Manager.
- Adhere to our clients' Go4Zero H&S Policies and Security Protocols.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy of items.
- Accurately report, communicate, and escalate non-conformances.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse/storage areas.
- Pick, pack, and ship orders to customers in a timely manner and in line with aircraft priorities.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Conduct distribution activities in line with Supply Chain processes and business support needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times in accordance with our clients' Policy.
- Assist with other warehouse & distribution duties as required.
- Maintain and store accurate records of required documents for auditing purposes.
- Efficiently prioritise all tasks and work to best support the business needs.
- Support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for spares that fail their Required Delivery Date (RDD), reporting completed analysis to P-8A Supply Chain Management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with support organisations to ensure seamless support.
- Conduct Supply Chain Support activities in line with Business Unit Processes and Procedures.
- Review and amend Processes and Procedures when gaps/errors are identified during day-to-day activities.
- Undertake training and qualifications as required by the business.
- Mentor junior members of the team in Supply Chain Best Practices and help resolve minor issues.
- Develop and support KPI Metrics to measure performance in Warehouse and Distribution tasks.
- Provide SME guidance and support to internal stakeholders for long-range Programme requirements.
- Host meetings pertinent to the success of assigned RAAs.
- Support ad-hoc tasks allocated by management to support business requirements.
- Provide out of hours service as required.
