Morson are recruiting on behalf of Safran Actuations for a Tooling Coordinator to support a tooling control improvement programme within the Aftermarket Value Stream. This role is focused on ensuring tooling is accurately managed, controlled and available to support manufacturing operations across both Assembly & Test and Machine Shop environments. The successful candidate will assess current tooling availability, identify gaps, coordinate procurement activities and maintain accurate tooling records while supporting ongoing tooling improvement projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual with experience in manufacturing, engineering or production environments who enjoys coordinating activities, managing information and driving actions through to completion. Key Responsibilities
Assess existing tooling and compare against operational requirements Carry out tooling gap analysis Coordinate procurement of missing tooling and equipment Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders Maintain and update the Tool Management System Manage tooling inventories and tooling records Catalogue and organise tooling within storage systems Coordinate serialisation and traceability activities Conduct regular tooling audits and compliance checks Produce reports and track actions against project plans Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to tooling management Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams Essential Skills & Experience
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment Strong organisational and administrative skills Experience managing inventories, records or controlled assets Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tooling requirements Good communication and stakeholder management skills Competent Microsoft Office user, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Desirable Skills & Experience
Tooling, stores or inventory management experience Procurement or supplier management experience Exposure to manufacturing or engineering documentation Experience supporting audits or compliance activities Experience using engineering or asset management systems Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate may come from a Tool Control, Engineering Coordinator, Manufacturing Support, Production Planning, Maintenance Planning, Stores Management or Tooling background. They will be organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with engineers and production teams to ensure tooling is available, controlled and compliant at all times.
