We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Stainless Steel TIG Welders/Fabricators to join our clients busy manufacturing team based in Huddersfield on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality stainless steel fabrication projects within a well-established engineering environment.
The Role
- TIG welding stainless steel components to a high standard.
- Fabricating bespoke stainless steel products from engineering drawings.
- Working with thin gauge and heavy gauge stainless steel materials.
- Carrying out welding using processes 141, 142, 143 and 145.
- Reading and interpreting technical and fabrication drawings.
- Measuring, marking out, cutting, fitting and assembling fabricated components.
- Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Working both independently and as part of the fabrication team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Stainless Steel TIG Welder/Fabricator.
- Competent in TIG welding processes 141, 142, 143 and 145.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Experience fabricating stainless steel to a high standard.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work accurately and meet production deadlines.
- A positive attitude with good communication skills.
Desirable:
- Current welding qualifications or coding certificates.
- Experience working within food, pharmaceutical or process industries.
- Overhead crane or FLT experience (advantageous but not essential).
