We are currently recruiting for two experienced Warehouse Operatives with a valid Reach Truck Licence and Counterbalance, to join our clients busy warehouse team, on a long-term contract in Newport in Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and motivated warehouse professionals looking to secure an immediate contract with the possibility of extension.

Location: Newport, Wales.

Rate: £22.65 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract: 3 Months (with potential extension)

Start Date: Must be available to start within 2 weeks

Shifts: Rotating Shift Pattern – Monday to Friday

Working Hours

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm and Friday, 2:00pm – 8:00pm

Pay

  • £22.65 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load, unload and move materials using Reach Truck forklifts, overhead cranes and other lifting equipment where required.
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, checking quantities and identifying any damage.
  • Accurately record stock movements using computer and manual systems.
  • Put stock away and issue materials in line with production requirements.
  • Carry out kitting duties and deliver materials to production areas.
  • Perform daily safety inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts and lifting equipment.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock takes.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with housekeeping standards.
  • Report equipment faults and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
  • Support training activities and mentor colleagues where required.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Reach Truck Licence (essential)
  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Ability to start within 2 weeks.
  • Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern.
  • Good attention to detail and accurate stock handling skills.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.

The successful candidates will be dependable, safety-conscious and proactive, with strong warehouse experience and a positive attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement.
