What You'll Be Doing
You'll be at the heart of the action — fabricating, assembling, and installing key ship components to the highest standards. Your day-to-day could include:
- Marking off materials
- Building ship structures (shells, decks, bulkheads & more)
- Fabricating items like ladders, panels & flooring
- Installing hatches, watertight doors & onboard equipment
- Using machinery for rolling, cutting & forming materials
- Preparing vessels for launch and sea trials
- Docking work, plate prep, pressure testing & fitting
What You'll Need
- Ability to read fabrication & installation drawings
- Strong hands-on fabrication and assembly skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Solid awareness of safety, health & environmental risks
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- Days: Locals: £20.80/hr Non-locals: £28.80/hr
- Nights: Locals: £27.66/hr Non-locals: £35.66/hr
- Umbrella rates available (ask for full rate card)
