Summary We are seeking an experienced Maritime Engineer with over 5 years of proven expertise in the design of Roro structures, jettys, and quay walls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ports and coastal engineering, capable of delivering robust, safe, and efficient marine infrastructure solutions. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed designs, perform structural analyses, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and environmental regulations. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, design, and execution phases of marine and coastal projects, demonstrating technical leadership and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
Skills Minimum 5 years' experience in Roro structures, jettys, and quay walls design Expertise in ports and coastal engineering Strong knowledge of marine and coastal structural design principles Ability to perform structural analysis and design calculations Familiarity with relevant UK and international marine engineering standards Experience in multidisciplinary project collaboration Understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations in marine projects Effective communication and stakeholder management skills Problem-solving and value engineering capabilities Project management and coordination experience Software/Tools AutoCAD / MicroStation Structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) BIM tools (e.g., Revit) Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Certifications & Standards Chartered Engineer status (desirable) Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards for marine/coastal structures (e.g., BS EN, Eurocodes) CSCS card (if site visits required)
