Anderselite are currently representing a busy Cardiff based Architectural practice who are looking for an experienced Architect or Assistant with strong Design capability.

They deliver to a wide range of sectors including Residential, Retail and Commercial and consistently put their clients' needs at the forefront of everything they do as well as investing in innovation and striving to always challenge the boundaries faced across the industry.

They have recently secured a number of exciting new projects and are looking to grow their team.

As a result, they are looking for a Design Architect with Design ability to work on complex packages within larger projects.

They will take on responsibility to feed into workload discussions, supporting others to deliver projects.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, progressive, design focused and inclusive architectural practice, working out of a studio with an excellent level of amenities including free parking.

You will need to be able to work collaboratively, building strong rapport, create positive, lasting relationships, and providing project leadership, have good interpersonal skills to include understanding of sensitivities when in communication with and presenting to clients, have good verbal and visual presentation skills and ability to explain a design idea and evolution of a concept.

You will be able to effectively brief and delegate packages of work, empowering junior members of the team as well as be committed to researching and maintaining knowledge of the discipline, to ensure continued professional development and experience is always driven forwards and interrogate information with an awareness of coordination issues, or design items that could impact on legislative compliance.

You will also need to show ability and understanding of financial implications of design decisions or changes requested by clients, have a developing understanding and experience of a variety of construction methods, have a good understanding of planning policy to be able to inform the rest of the design team as well as have a developing knowledge of past, current and future legislation and a good eye for design quality and be able to deliver the highest quality design.

Plus be responsible for the preparation and coordination of detailed design and production information including drawings and documents for the design stages of projects.

You will need to be proficient in Revit and/or Auto CAD, taking the lead on day to day management of models and drawings.

Be proficient in presentation software including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up or similar.

Be able to input into office BIM / CAD processes and procedures.
