Morson Edge are currently seeking an Avionic/ Electrical biased Role Equipment Supervisor on a permanent basis to be based at RNAS Yeovilton.
JOB PURPOSE
The Wildcat RE (Role Equipment) Supervisor will conduct and co-ordinate the required inspections, maintenance and documentation, including IT systems on Wildcat AH and HMA, RE, Task Essential Equipment (TEE) and Helicopter Underslung Load Equipment (HUSLE) for Wildcat FLC's.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
- The Wildcat RE Supervisor will be required to co-ordinate the delivery of RE, TEE and HUSLE to support Wildcat operations. To include configuration control, support, training, maintenance, preservation, anti-deterioration maintenance, servicing, and defect rectification functions.
- Control, management, prioritisation and supervision of RE, TEE and HUSLE maintenance, servicing, defect rectification and modification to support WMF, CHF and 1 REGT AAC tasking ensuring compliance with appropriate technical information and policy.
- The Wildcat RE Supervisor will maintain a database of all Wildcat RE and HUSLE held, control its issue, and returns ensuring all equipment remains in date and serviceable.
- Act as GOLDesp Custodian for the Wildcat RE Section.
- Act as Issue Centre Custodian for the Wildcat RE Section.
- Act as Wildcat RE Section Articles in Use (AinU) holder and manage the Wildcat RE, TEE and HUSLE range and scale to meet the Wildcat CASP allowance, ensuring all GOLDesp action is completed appropriately.
- Provide subject matter expert advice on the configuration, storage, maintenance, servicing and defect rectification of RE, TEE and HUSLE to Squadron Support Sections.
- Produce reports and maintain records liaising with WMF, CHF and 1 REGT AAC of current holdings, availability, and serviceability, highlighting risks and issues as appropriate.
- Act as the Wildcat RE, TEE and HUSLE Area Representative in accordance with the WMS MOE. Responsible for sponsoring relevant local procedures and acting as a point of contact for Internal Quality Audits (IQA) and External Quality Audits (EQA) as required.
- Providing support for the servicing, control and distribution of Future Air to Surface Guided Weapon (FASGW) Role Equipment.
- Maintain a full driving licence including category D1 and E, with the necessary classifications required for towing a trailer, and hold a valid Airfield Driving Permit.
- Maintaining HUSLE Currency.
- Deputise for the WMS Wildcat RE Maintenance Supervisor in their absence.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Educated to a minimum of BTEC level 3 in an aviation related subject or have completed a recognised aircraft engineering training followed by significant relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience of helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain and technical support processes, including practical experience of forward operational support.
- Experience and understanding of the military helicopter operating environment and command structure, and of deployment and operational planning.
- Self-motivated, able to take initiatives and work within teams.
- HLSEI (Helicopter Load Slinging Equipment Instructor) Qualified.
