Pay Rate: £15.00 - £18.00 Per Hour (Negotiable Based on Experience and Pay Type)

Morson Edge are looking for a Plant Operative / Mixing Labourer in Chawston, Bedfordshire, to work on a mobile mixing plant, supporting major highway projects in the region, offering long term work.

The role will involve:

  • Working around a mobile mixing plant (Readymix)
  • Supporting a Loading Shovel driver on site
  • Cleaning the mixer out to ensure the consistent supply of material, including concrete
  • Taking deliveries
  • Briefing drivers (Banksman)
  • Digging out under machines
  • Cleaning belts
  • Operating a Battery Operated Breaker for short periods of time

Successful candidates will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working in a similar environment, such as on a concrete mixing plant
  • CSCS / CPCS / NPORS Card
  • Fit For Work / Safety Critical medical
  • Highways Passport & Highways Common Induction (Preferred but can be supplied for the right person)
  • No HAVS restrictions (Allowing short term operation of Battery Operated Breaker on site)
  • MP Connect Card (Preferred but can be supplied for the right person)
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations within construction aggregates
  • Strong communication skills, being punctual, reliable and a team player
