Our client is a long established provider of engineering solutions to the aerospace, marine, defence, food and biopharma industries.

They require a self-motivated and professional machinist to support the Works Manager with setting up and programming a range of modern, well maintained machine tools.

Other primary duties may include

The consistent production of high quality, close tolerance, low volume components

Assist with overseeing tooling, jaw set up and program management.

Supporting turning operations across multi-axis, multi-spindle and live tooling lathes.

Assist with the production of pre-sales prototype components.

Assist R&D and Sales teams with estimating and costing RFI's / quotations and tenders.

Process improvement and operational optimisation.

Quality control and compliance documentation / traceability.

Training of setter / operators and apprentices.
