Role: Civil CAD Engineer (Swept Path Analysis / Traffic Management plans / Car Park Design / PVPI Design) - Hinkley C Nuclear Power Station project

Location: Hinkley C site nr Bridgwater, Somerset (TA5 1UF)

Salary: £35000 - £55000 + travel allowance

Start: August 2026 onwards

Morson Edge are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Civil CAD Engineer with experience in areas such as Site Traffic Management Plans, Swept Path Analysis, Car Park and Site Compound Design and PVPI Design to work in support of EDF's Hinkley C nuclear power station construction project. The role will be based at the client's Hinkley Point 'C' site near Bridgwater, Somerset (TA5 1UF) 3 days/week with the rest worked from home. A little flexibility to these arrangements might be considered for the right candidate.

Candidates will be required to obtain nuclear site security clearance for this role.

Duties and Key Experience

  • Experience working in a drawing office with strong skills in 2D & 3D drawing production and drawing issuing/revision procedures.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and be able to demonstrate their knowledge of orthographic projection, Plans, Sections, Elevations & Details.
  • Coordinate and update underground service diversions/removals with Construction Support Services team.
  • Site Traffic Management Plans, roads and walkway diversions and updates.
  • Updating relevant Hazard plans.
  • Swept path analysis and vehicle tracking.
  • Car park design.
  • Contractor compound design.
  • PVPI design and drawings.
  • Visualizations.
