Morson Edge are working with an award-winning multidisciplinary design practice to recruit an experienced Architect, Associate or Associate Director to lead the growth of their Industrial & Logistics (I&L) sector. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of an established and growing project portfolio, leading the delivery of major Industrial & Logistics schemes while helping to shape the future direction of the sector within a highly respected AJ Top 100 architectural practice. The role can be based in London, Birmingham or Leicester, with hybrid working available following probation and flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
The successful candidate will become the technical and design lead for the Industrial & Logistics sector, working closely with existing clients whilst helping to develop new opportunities as the workload continues to grow. We are looking to speak with experienced Architects through to Associate and Associate Director level who have a proven background leading Industrial & Logistics projects across all RIBA stages. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a specialist sector, lead major projects and play a key role in the continued growth of a successful multidisciplinary practice.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of Industrial & Logistics projects across RIBA Stages 0–6.
- Act as Lead Designer on major projects from concept through to completion.
- Manage client relationships and provide strategic technical advice throughout project delivery.
- Produce and review technical drawing packages for tender and construction.
- Prepare and review NBS specifications.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, British Standards and planning requirements.
- Lead design reviews, presentations and stakeholder meetings.
- Support business development activities and help grow the Industrial & Logistics sector.
- Mentor and support junior architectural team members.
- ARB Registered Architect.
- Proven experience delivering Industrial & Logistics projects.
- Experience leading major projects through all RIBA work stages (0–6).
- Strong understanding of UK Planning Policy, Building Regulations and British Standards.
- Experience producing technical drawing packages and construction documentation.
- Experience writing and reviewing NBS specifications.
- Excellent client-facing, presentation and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong design capability.
- Revit experience (or the ability to quickly learn new software).
- Business development and client generation experience.
- Previous experience operating at Associate or Associate Director level.
- Salary up to £75,000, depending on experience.
