We are looking for a Structural Designer to be based in Warrington on a hybrid basis. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and meeting new challenges. BPSS clearance is required for this role.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivering design work, inspections and construction site support on a major infrastructure project.
- Concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
- Analysis and design using engineering software such as STAAD, Tekla and TEDDS as well as producing hand calculations.
- Preparation of calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, inter-discipline design coordination and supervision.
- Assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- A degree qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil / Structural Engineer.
- Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
- Knowledge of seismic design requirements for waste storage / processing plant.
- Knowledge and use of BIM packages.
- Experience in preparation of deliverables for early-stage constructability assessments and HAZOPs.
- Knowledge of structural aspects of underground/above ground services diversions.
