We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support major engineering programmes within the nuclear and/or water sectors. This is a home-based role open to candidates across the UK, with Manchester listed as the notional office location. We welcome applications from both Chartered and non-Chartered Engineers, provided candidates have the right technical background and are able to obtain SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structural engineering design solutions across a range of projects
  • Undertake analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures
  • Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient designs
  • Ensure work is completed in line with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements
  • Contribute to design reviews, technical assurance, and project progress meetings
  • Support projects throughout design and delivery phases

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' structural engineering experience
  • Strong experience in reinforced concrete design
  • Experience working in the nuclear industry and/or water industry
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deliverables effectively
  • Strong understanding of UK design codes and engineering standards
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Eligible to obtain SC Clearance

Desirable

  • Chartered Engineer status (ICE / IStructE or equivalent)
  • Experience on highly regulated or safety-critical projects
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
