Morson Talent is working in partnership with a major highways organisation to recruit a Lighting Engineer for a role based within the East region. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical highway infrastructure, supporting the development and delivery of lighting improvement and renewal schemes that contribute to safer journeys for road users.

You will work alongside technical specialists and project teams, using your engineering, asset management and stakeholder skills to help identify asset needs and develop lighting schemes in line with defined policies and standards.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with office locations in Bedford, Cambridge or Ipswich.

Please note: This role requires driving as part of your duties. Candidates must hold a valid driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points, both at application stage and throughout employment.

  • A good understanding of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and their application to lighting asset maintenance
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Lighting Reality
  • Knowledge of construction and delivery methodologies, with an understanding of CDM Regulations 2015
