Senior Marketing & Customer Communications Advisor Morson Edge is recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Water Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week in Leeds Valley Park Contract: Fixed-term contract until the end of December Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday Friday Working pattern: Flexible hours, with start times between 8am 10am and finish times between 4pm 6pm Salary: £22.34 per hour - £25.98 per hour (£43,000 £50,000) per annum About the Role Morson Edge is recruiting for an experienced Senior Marketing & Customer Communications Advisor to join Yorkshire Water's marketing team on a fixed-term basis until the end of December.

This is a strategic and hands-on marketing role focused on improving how Yorkshire Water communicates with its customers and enhancing the customer journey across key touchpoints. Working closely with the wider marketing, brand and communications teams, you will help shape and deliver customer communications, marketing campaigns and longer-term plans that support both customer and business objectives.

The role will suit an experienced marketer who is confident operating strategically but equally comfortable getting involved in the detail and delivering at pace. You will play an important role in identifying opportunities to improve customer communications, developing plans and helping to shape the longer-term direction of this area of the marketing function. There is also potential for the role to develop into a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and support the customer communications strategy , identifying opportunities to improve the customer journey and experience across key touchpoints. Review and enhance customer communications across a range of channels, including letters, emails, templates and other customer-facing communications. Work closely with brand, communications and wider internal teams to ensure customer messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with the Yorkshire Water brand.

Develop strategic plans to improve the end-to-end customer journey and the effectiveness of customer communications. Identify opportunities to improve how and when Yorkshire Water communicates with its customers. Support the planning and delivery of annual billing communications , ensuring customers receive timely, relevant and engaging information. Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that support key customer messages and business priorities, including campaigns promoting financial support schemes.

Work with external media agencies and internal stakeholders to plan and deliver effective customer-focused campaigns. Translate customer and business requirements into clear, actionable marketing and communications plans. Provide strategic input and recommendations to help shape the future direction of customer communications within the marketing function. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across marketing, communications and the wider business.

Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring activity is delivered on time and to a high standard. Help establish longer-term plans, processes and ways of working that can be embedded within the permanent team.

About You

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional with a strong background in communications, brand and customer-facing marketing. You will ideally have:

Significant experience working within a marketing, communications or brand environment . Experience developing and delivering customer communications across multiple channels. A strong understanding of the customer journey and how marketing and communications can influence customer engagement. Experience developing strategic marketing and communications plans. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, engaging and customer-focused messaging.

Experience planning and delivering marketing campaigns from initial brief through to execution. Experience working with external agencies, including media agencies. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and influence at a senior level. The confidence to provide strategic direction and recommendations while remaining hands-on in delivery. Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment , managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong project management and organisational skills. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop plans and turn strategy into action.

What You'll Be Doing

This role will sit at the intersection of marketing, customer communications and the customer journey . You will be helping Yorkshire Water to consider how, when and where it communicates with customers

from annual billing and customer letters through to email communications, campaigns and messaging around financial support. You will have the opportunity to influence strategy, improve customer touchpoints and work collaboratively with teams across the organisation, while also delivering campaigns and communications in a fast-moving environment. The role offers an opportunity for an experienced marketer to make a tangible impact while contributing to the development of a longer-term customer communications capability. Working Arrangements The role is based at Leeds Valley Park , with hybrid working available. The standard working pattern is:
