Morson Edge are working with a well-established Tier 2 main contractor with a strong footprint across Yorkshire, who are looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects in the Yorkshire region. This contractor delivers high-quality schemes across residential and commercial sectors and is known for repeat business, collaborative project teams, and long-term staff retention.

The Role

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for a project from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with site and senior management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of residential or commercial developments
  • Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
  • Valuations, variations, and change management
  • Interim applications and final accounts
  • Risk and value management
  • Working closely with site teams, consultants, and clients
  • Supporting junior commercial staff as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
  • Experience on residential and/or commercial projects
  • Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
