The Opportunity
We are working with a well established and highly respected food manufacturer who are investing into a major production facility in Wakefield and expanding their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, highly automated site where you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across site
- Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
- Supporting production during start ups, shutdowns and changeovers
- Working on a wide range of equipment including processing, packaging and site services
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
- Driving plant reliability and reducing downtime
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health, safety and food safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Multi Skilled Engineer with electrical and mechanical experience
- Background within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar fast paced environment
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Experience working with automated production lines and PLC systems
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and reliability improvements
- Recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, C&G or equivalent)
