Working water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
Providing safety leadership across capital projects, setting consistent standards. You will manage the Health & Safety team on the contract through effective mentoring, while overseeing audits, inspections, performance reviews and ensuring all corrective actions are closed out promptly.
You'll monitor Safety Health Environment metrics to spot trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement, reporting key insights directly to the Regional SHE lead. You'll take ownership of significant incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and clear, actionable learning outcomes.
By actively sharing best practice and lessons learned across the contract, you'll champion a culture of continuous improvement, safety excellence and proactive risk management. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant and high-performing operational environment.
Requirements:
- Highly developed SHE management skills regarding stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrable experience of recognised best practice, risk management techniques and management principles
- Collaborative, but able to challenge constructively when standards are not met
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility/versatility combined with initiative, drive and tenacity to deliver objectives
- NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety, and holds or working towards CMIOSH
- Proven experience in SHE management within large-scale infrastructure
- Full clean Driving Licence and willingness to travel extensively across the zone
