We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team, contributing to the design and development of high-integrity gear transmission systems and components for the defence sector. You will work closely with the Technical Authority and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of design projects, technical documentation, and associated engineering activities. Lead the mechanical design of geared transmission systems, components, and assemblies. Re-engineer existing designs for new applications and design test equipment and procedures. Develop technical deliverables including proposals, installation, and maintenance instructions. Expert usage of 2D & 3D CAD software (Solid Edge preferred) for component and assembly drawings. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality requirements. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline Strong design skills in mechanical systems and transmission components Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Edge preferred) Ability to make informed, data-driven decisions and solve technical challenges.
