About the Role

Our client is delivering one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes: a major new nuclear power station. As part of a growing People Development function, they are seeking a Learning & Skills Ops Coordinator to provide a visible, on-site presence supporting the effective delivery of learning and skills activity at site level. Sitting within the Learning Operations team and reporting into the Head of Learning Operations & Data Insights, this is a key on-site role focused on ensuring learning delivery works effectively in practice, within a complex, fast-paced, multi-team delivery model. The role does not hold end-to-end accountability for learning delivery, but plays a critical part in ensuring activity runs smoothly through coordination, oversight and stakeholder engagement. You will act as the primary point of contact for learners, instructors and other key stakeholders on site, helping to navigate competing priorities between on-site needs and central processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Presence
    • Act as the primary on-site contact for skills and learning queries from learners, facilitators and other stakeholders
    • Operate as the on-site operational lead for learning activity, ensuring issues are identified, managed and resolved in collaboration with key teams
    • Provide responsive, face-to-face support to resolve queries and issues relating to on-site training delivery, access and learner experience
    • Build strong relationships with site leadership, operational teams, Organisational Capability, the site's Training and Competency Lead, technical training teams and People Development Partners
    • Ensure a positive and supportive learner experience across all interactions
    • Represent Learning Services on site, working closely with off-site teams to ensure a joined-up, coherent service, acting as a key interface between on-site and central teams
  • Learning Services Liaison
    • Work closely with other People Development and technical training teams to ensure training activities progress effectively
    • Follow up where activity is delayed, unclear or not actioned
    • Escalate issues appropriately to minimise disruption to learners and stakeholders
    • Provide practical feedback to improve service delivery responsiveness and learner experience
    • Navigate competing priorities between on-site needs and central processes, using judgement to reach practical outcomes
    • Provide constructive feedback and potential solutions where processes do not meet operational realities
  • Training Delivery, Logistics & Coordination Support
    • Support the smooth running of on-site training sessions, including room set-up, materials and logistics
    • Provide on-the-day assistance to facilitators and learners as required
    • Troubleshoot delivery issues in real time, resolving or escalating as required
    • Work collaboratively with the site's Training and Competency Lead, People Development Partner, trainers and operational teams to ensure delivery runs effectively within site constraints
  • Learner Engagement & Advice
    • Provide guidance and support to learners on skills and development pathways
    • Advise on appropriate learning solutions linked to roles, competencies and development needs
    • Support engagement with learning activity on site
    • Operate effectively in a complex, and at times ambiguous, stakeholder environment where priorities may conflict and accountabilities are shared
    • Take ownership of resolving issues on site, while working within a broader, multi-team delivery model

Experience

  • Experience in a learning, training or skills development support role, ideally within a regulated or compliance-based environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams with differing priorities
  • Confidence working independently in a visible, on-site role
  • Excellent communication skills, with particular strength in engaging confidently face-to-face
  • A strong customer service mindset with a focus on learner experience
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • A proactive problem solver, able to manage queries and escalate appropriately
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven learning environment
  • Ability to influence and navigate without formal authority, taking ownership of on-site issues and outcomes
  • Confidence operating in ambiguity and managing competing demands
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems is essential

This role reports into the Head of Learning Operations & Data Insights within a managed People Development service provision to the site. This is a temporary role running until the end of 2026, with strong potential to extend into 2027. This is an office-based role with no remote working opportunities. Frequent travel between Sizewell C sites in Suffolk should be expected, with occasional travel to other related sites. Security vetting will be required for this role.
