Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 am β 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: Β£30.00 β Β£33.50 per hour, dependent on experience
Contract: Fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of extension
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst / Programmer to lead data acquisition, integration, analytics, and automation initiatives across our client's business. This hands-on role involves developing robust data pipelines, delivering insightful analytics and automation solutions, and supporting business reporting and decision-making through established enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Management
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines utilising Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
- Cleanse, validate, transform, and manage enterprise data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Manage scheduled data loads and conduct comprehensive data quality checks.
- Support data governance processes and maintain thorough documentation.
Analytics & Business Support
- Prepare curated datasets to facilitate reporting and detailed analysis.
- Collaborate in developing KPIs and analytical models to drive business insight.
- Identify and resolve data and reporting issues promptly and effectively.
Applications, Automation & Integration
- Create interactive dashboards and workflows using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Enable seamless integration of Salesforce CRM data.
- Identify automation opportunities and implement efficient solutions.
Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams, adhering to the client's data and development standards to ensure consistency and quality.
Team & Working Environment
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including data scientists, data engineers, application developers, analysts, and project managers. The role is based at the Larne EPD Plant, with regular collaboration with global teams via virtual communication tools.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5+ years' experience in data science, analytics, data engineering, or automation.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Experienced with Snowflake and SQL.
- Skilled in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Experience working with CRM data, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, analytics, and data quality principles.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and automation tools.
- Relevant professional certifications are advantageous but not essential.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with adaptability in a dynamic environment.
