We're delighted to be partnering with a fantastic charity in Wakefield to recruit a People Development Partner (L&D) to join their People team. Reporting to the People Development Manager, this role offers a great opportunity for an L&D professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, shaping development solutions, and making a genuine impact on people and services across England. You'll support a portfolio of services nationally, with some travel for face-to-face engagement where needed, alongside virtual delivery. The role offers strong autonomy - you'll manage your own diary, build relationships with service managers, and tailor development support to local needs. Salary is £35,000 with hybrid working (3 days in the HQ per week).
The Role
- Act as a trusted L&D advisor to service managers, identifying skills gaps and development needs
- Work closely with the People Development Manager and external trainers to deliver timely, practical solutions
- Support the design and delivery of learning initiatives such as management development programmes and competency frameworks
- Deliver workshops, learning sessions and development activities aligned to organisational priorities
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Promote professional qualifications and apprenticeship opportunities, supporting engagement and completion
- Provide accessible, regionally tailored learning support that is practical, relevant and impactful
About You
- Significant experience in Learning & Development or People Development
- Confident facilitator with strong coaching skills and the ability to engage varied audiences
- Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning programmes
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Comfortable using LMS platforms and digital learning tools
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
