My client is seeking an experienced Logistics & Materials Lead to support site operations at Barrow-in-Furness. Reporting into the site operations/supply chain function, you'll take ownership of materials management, inbound/outbound logistics, and inventory control across an active energy operations environment.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end materials management: receipt, storage, issue, and reconciliation of materials and equipment
- Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics including transport, lifting plans, and third-party logistics providers
- Maintain inventory accuracy within ERP/CMMS (SAP or similar); drive stock audits and cycle counts
- Support project and maintenance teams with materials planning, expediting, and shortage resolution
- Manage quarantine, preservation, and surplus/disposal processes to compliance standards
- Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and offshore/site teams to ensure material availability
- Ensure HSE compliance across all logistics and yard activities
Requirements
- Proven materials/logistics experience
- Strong ERP/CMMS proficiency (SAP MM, Maximo, or equivalent)
- Experience with regulated/safety-critical environments; decommissioning exposure advantageous
- Commutable to Barrow-in-Furness or able to work 3β4 days on site
- Immediately available or short notice preferred
