The Role

Morson are seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to provide technical expertise across manufacturing programmes, supporting the delivery of robust, capable, and zero-defect tooling solutions. This role plays a key part in enabling high-quality production through strong engineering leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for tooling development from concept through to production
  • Ensure robust, capable manufacturing processes with a strong focus on zero defect delivery
  • Support production and resolve tooling, quality, and supplier issues efficiently
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across tooling and manufacturing processes
  • Provide technical oversight for tooling cost, schedule, and configuration changes
  • Promote best practice, standardisation, and development of new tooling methods
  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to meet programme demands
  • Champion safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times

Skills & Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing / Tooling Engineering within aerospace or similar regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems such as AS9100 / ISO9001
  • Proven ability to lead technically, influence stakeholders, and work with minimal supervision
