Morson Talent is recruiting on behalf of an international design consultancy delivering on the National Highways Scheme Development Framework. We are seeking an experienced Highways Lighting Design Engineer to join their team on a high-profile, long-term programme shaping the UK’s road infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, designs, specifications, and contract documents
- Carry out daytime and night-time surveys
- Support the production of Environmental Impact Assessments, Economic Assessments, and Business Cases
- Liaise with clients, electricity suppliers, contractors, professional bodies, sub-consultants, and design teams
Key Requirements
- Experience designing to British lighting/electrical standards (BS5489, BS EN 13201, BS 7671)
- Knowledge of trunk and local road lighting requirements
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Proficiency in lighting design software (Lighting Reality, Dialux, or similar)
- Proficiency in electrical design calculation software (Trimble, Castline, or similar)
