Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead the successful delivery of a major highways and public realm improvement scheme in Hereford city centre. The project involves the construction and enhancement of cycleways, footpaths, zebra crossings, drainage, kerbing, and wider public realm improvements. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of works, managing subcontractors effectively, and maintaining programme, budget, and specification compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations on a live highways/public realm site
  • Coordinate subcontractor packages (civils, surfacing, deep drainage, paving, street furniture)
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Maintain full control of site activities in line with programme requirements

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and site H&S requirements
  • Review and implement RAMS on site
  • Carry out regular inspections
