Morson Edge are currently seeking a GOLDesp Boundary Cell Supervisor to join the team at RNAS Culdrose on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose, Activities and Tasks

  • Accountable to the IMOS Depth Engineering Logistics Support Manager (ELSM) RNAS Culdrose for the leadership of a team responsible for all aspects regarding GOLDesp Boundary activities in direct support to the Integrated Merlin Operational Support (IMOS) contract.
  • Coordination and prioritisation of GOLDesp tasks to ensure output targets are met in a timely manner and that data integrity remains paramount.
  • Prioritise the Boundary Cell (BC) workload to enable LH Management to achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Have a detailed working knowledge of IT systems including GOLDesp, CIETP, MJDI and SAP.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the BC, coordinating workflow from all stakeholders and keeping the team informed of current priorities and requirements.
  • Act as the office manager for the BC ensuring a cohesive working environment exists adhering to all H&S directives.
  • Act as the point of contact for GOLDesp logistic data requests.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the ESC Lead, CSC Lead and Warehouse Leads in support of the IMOS contract.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the BC by encouraging process innovation and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain and update detailed working instructions to ensure consistent BC output.
  • Conduct receipt procedures for GOLDesp tracked assets received from other units and industry.
  • Support the ESC activities within GOLDesp related to the R2/R4 process.
  • Advise and aid units on GOLDesp activities.
  • Carry out the update of GOLDesp records on assets for which the BC acts as the custodian.
  • Conduct Custodian checks (Leaflet 209) on all the seg codes the BC is responsible for.
  • Maintenance of the RNAS Culdrose GOLDesp Temporary Serial Number log.
  • Maintenance of the RNAS Culdrose GOLDesp Local Serial Number log.
  • Maintain the RNAS Culdrose AERFC database to process requests from Sqdn/Units for serial and part number changes.
  • Act as liaison between the RNAS Yeovilton and RNAS Culdrose BCs.
  • Have a strong working relationship with the DT Desk Officers and advise on Technical Instructions affecting the BC work.
  • Conduct checks for currency of authorisation, competency, GOLDesp training and user accounts.
  • Maintain a technical dissemination database relevant to the BC, ensuring all Engineers are up to date with current technical information.
  • Conduct monthly check of the workbooks.
  • Conduct data checks on all assets arriving from within the GOLDesp boundary before storage in the warehouses.
  • Raise QORs/QNs to address documentation faults.
  • Attend H&S, QA and other meetings as directed by the ELSM, relaying all pertinent information back to the BC team.
  • To carry out any additional tasking as detailed by the ELSM within the capabilities of the BC.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or having gained relevant experience in an aviation environment.
  • Have a thorough understanding of rotary wing military (aviation) procedures.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Merlin maintenance and associated documentation, Boundary qualified in GOLDesp.
  • Highly developed problem-solving abilities and the ability to apply them in an engineering support environment.
  • IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
  • Good working knowledge of MOD Engineering Information Systems and associated documentation.
  • Working knowledge of MOD supply system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal & written.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, to demanding deadlines.
  • To have successfully completed the GOLDesp Boundary course FG011SSJ.
