Are you an experienced leader with a passion for building resilience and driving positive change? Our Client are looking for a Head of Operational Resilience to take on a pivotal role in shaping and safeguarding the operational strength of our organisation. In this newly created leadership position, you’ll lead the development and execution of resilience strategy, ensuring the company is prepared to face any disruptions and continue delivering with confidence.
This includes:
- Lead Strategy Development: Own the creation and continuous improvement of an operational resilience strategy that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory standards (e.g., FCA).
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage risks, from cybersecurity to third-party vulnerabilities, ensuring operational continuity and safeguarding key business services.
- Crisis & Incident Management: Develop and refine crisis management plans, ensuring that your team is always prepared to respond effectively to any challenges.
- Foster Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams, embedding resilience thinking into the company culture and making resilience a shared responsibility across the business.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organisation stays ahead of evolving regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance and industry leadership.
- Mentor & Inspire: Lead and nurture a diverse, high-performing team, helping each member thrive and develop their skills while contributing to the organisation’s mission.
Ideally you will have:
- Significant experience in operational resilience and/or operational risk, within financial services.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCA, PRA) and best practices.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and guide cross-functional teams toward shared resilience goals.
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Professional qualifications in risk, resilience, or continuity (e.g., MBCI, CBCI, IRM) are a plus.
- A strategic thinker who can anticipate challenges and drive innovative solutions.
- An empowering leader who motivates teams, fosters inclusivity, and values the contributions of every individual.
- A proactive problem-solver who isn’t afraid to take the initiative and lead complex projects.
