What will your role be in the company?
If you have technical expertise and an analytical mindset, we need you on our team. You'll work with us to diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis for an advanced fleet across a range of systems (electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic), using a combination of electrical schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software. If you are someone who thrives on finding solutions in a constantly changing environment, and are driven to achieve results, then this role is perfect for you. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for performing corrective actions and repairs on new trains in a depot setting to ensure passenger service availability and reliability.
What salary will you be paid for this role?
As a Real Living Wage Employer, we are proud to pay competitively. For this role you will be offered a salary in the region of £47,500 per annum, rising to over £49,000 when competent.
What will make you successful in this position?
To succeed in the role, you have an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/ mechanical engineering (or equivalent) plus post-apprenticeship experience under your belt. You have experience in detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems and are capable of interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams, as well as being proficient in using diagnostic software, and test and measuring equipment. You should have a flexible approach to working varying shifts including weekends, and both day and night shifts.
