Salary & Shifts: Range of pay rates based on shift patterns.

Contract length: 5 weeks offshore + 2 weeks in Portsmouth (extensions potentially available).

Contracted hours: 37 hours (overtime available on request).

Daily allowance and accommodation provided. Immunisations required.

As a skilled Laminator, you will have an important role within the business to stay professional throughout your contract delivering to the highest standard ensuring Safety, Health and Environmental regulations are followed.

  • Understand and follow health and safety policies associated with all GRP requirements.
  • Use of grinders, sanders and diamond cutting equipment.
  • C inspection or process control experience.
  • Have a flexible approach to problem solving.
  • There may be occasions when you would be asked to work/travel outside of the main location.

The Operations division is involved in the repair and refit of both Royal Naval and Commercial vessels. The majority of the work will be completed on-board ships either moored alongside or in dry docks, with the remaining work being performed in various workshops throughout the dockyard.

Staff must have a good understanding of GRP laminating processes and be able to demonstrate the various repair techniques used to repair GRP ships. They must be flexible, hardworking and punctual and be prepared to work in a team to provide a high-quality service to meet customer expectations.
