- Proven experience as a Groundworks Ganger or Working Supervisor
- Demonstrable experience in deep drainage works
- Experience in 3m diameter manhole construction
- Temporary works knowledge including sheet and frame systems or trench boxes
- SSSTS qualification, advantageous but not essential
Role Overview:
An experienced Groundworks Ganger is required to lead and work within a groundworks gang on deep drainage works. This is a hands-on position involving active participation in site activities while providing effective day-to-day supervision of operatives and plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements and site procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and working within a groundworks gang
- Supervising deep drainage and manhole construction works
- Carrying out benching operations
- Coordinating plant movements and lifting operations
- Installing and overseeing temporary works systems
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Liaising with site management to maintain programme and productivity
