Our client is a well-established civil engineering subcontractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. This is a predominantly office-based role with occasional site visits across the Lincolnshire area, working on housing, infrastructure, and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Carry out site visits to assess project requirements
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
  • Price groundworks and civil engineering packages, including commercial schemes
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Prepare and submit compliant tender submissions
  • Support pre-construction planning and commercial handovers
  • Assist with pricing variations and value engineering
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator within groundworks or civil engineering
  • Experience across housing, infrastructure, and commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC4 preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Esti-mate experience beneficial)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
