Morson are supporting our Aerospace client who are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Aerospace / Engineering to join its Programmes team on a contract basis, supporting Commercial aircraft programmes.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will lead cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and act as a key customer-facing interface, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on quality, and within budget. This role plays a critical part in maintaining programme continuity and delivery during an interim period.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and commercial functions
- Manage project planning, forecasting, and delivery, including recovery plans where required
- Track costs vs budget, programme performance, and key milestones
- Support customer contract administration, including spares sales and repairs activities
- Act as a primary customer interface, ensuring clear communication and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Manage risk, change control, and issue resolution across assigned projects
- Support and chair internal programme reviews, customer reviews, and executive reporting
- Ensure compliance with export control and governance requirements
- Resolution of in-service issues
- Support to airframer development programmes
- Cost reduction and performance improvement initiatives
- Engagement with customers and airframers to support new business opportunities
- Proven experience in project or programme management within aerospace, engineering, or a similar regulated industrial environment
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple workstreams
- Experience working in customer-facing roles, ideally with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
- Good understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and industrial processes
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
