The organisation is a multi-disciplinary, planning-led consultancy with an enviable track record for delivery of successful planning applications on projects ranging from individual dwellings to large, multi-functional schemes. Their project portfolio includes renewable energy, mineral extraction/restoration, leisure, residential, and rural-based developments.

Within this role, you will work alongside other specialists to provide a wide range of landscape architectural services to clients. The company is based in a beautiful rural setting within the Cotswolds.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Manage projects, including workload management and project programming.
  • Supervise the Company's Draughtsperson and procure specialist sub-consultants as required.
  • Liaise with clients and take their instructions.
  • Prepare project briefs and fee proposals, monitoring expenditure of fees and other project expenses.
  • Prepare Specifications, Bills of Quantities, and Contract Drawings; administer contracts for landscape works implementation.
  • Undertake landscape design work.
  • Prepare reports, including Landscape and Visual Assessments, and coordinate multidisciplinary Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Prepare Landscape Management Plans.
  • Provide guidance to teach and develop junior staff.
  • Promote the Company and market its services.
  • Undertake training and CPD relevant to the position.
  • Perform general office administrative duties and housekeeping as directed.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Directors.

Candidate specification:

  • Degree and/or Masters in Landscape Architecture.
  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-chartership experience in the public or private sector.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Full driving licence and use of own car.
