What is expected from me?
As a qualified welder, you will have an important role within the business to stay professional throughout your contract delivering to the highest standard ensuring Safety, Health and Environmental regulations are followed.
Job Description:
- Welding different materials (carbon & stainless steel & aluminium)
- Welding using different welding processes i.e., Manual Metal Arc, Metal Active Gas, Metal Inert Gas, Automatic & Semi-Automatic Machine Welding (Submerged β Arc & KAT) & Resistance Welding (Stud Welding)
- Welding butts and fillets to a high standard
- Main process β FCAW / MAG β using ceramic tiles
Requirements - Qualifications & Compliance:
- Holds a full Engineering Modern Apprenticeship, trade papers
- Flux core arc welding experience
- Knowledge and experience in Welding and use of associated equipment
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
- Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height etc
- Background in marine, Oil and Gas, major construction / manufacturing environment
