Electricians Mate in Glasgow

Morson are looking to recruit electrician\’s mates for future demands on behalf of our prestigious client in Govan.

These are 9 month contracts with a strong likelihood of extension.

Role description

A semi-skilled person responsible for supporting cable installation including cable reeve, cable supports and gland packing. Other ancillary responsibilities may include the cleanliness, care and protection of all areas of the ship including all fitted equipment. You must have an electrical background for this role.

• Cable containment
• Cable installation and reeving
• Chunking and supports
• Cable packing systems
• Upkeep of shipyard facilities

Shift patterns can vary

Standard – Locals: £17.06 PAYE
Non‑locals: £25.06 PAYE (umbrella rates also available)

Nights – Locals: £22.69 PAYE
Non‑locals: £30.69 PAYE (umbrella rates also available)

Full rate card available on request.
No less than 37 hours worked a week.
Overtime available but not guaranteed.
33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.

These are immediate starts subject to security clearance.
