Morson EDGE are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner. This role combines hands-on project planning with the management of a local planning team. The successful candidate will take ownership of one or more project plans, ensuring delivery according to schedule while managing any delays or deviations. You will also support the wider planning function by implementing industry-leading planning processes and procedures. As a senior planner, you will mentor and guide junior planners, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Reporting functionally to the Head of Planning and working closely with the PMO office, you will ensure planning standards are upheld and project plans comprehensively capture scope, resources, dependencies, and risks throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful applicant for this role will have:

  • Extensive experience in planning within the water industry
  • Proven ability to manage a medium-sized planning team
  • Hands-on expertise with Primavera P6
  • Strong leadership in collaborative planning processes
  • Schedule development from inception to completion
  • Claims programme development and contractual programme adjustments
  • Effective communication of complex information to diverse audiences
  • Risk identification and critical path monitoring
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive and innovative problem-solving approach
  • Mentoring and team development skills
  • Familiarity with planning standards and procedures, including baseline management and schedule quality checks

Certifications & Standards: Technical degree or relevant experience in a relevant field.
