Overview
On behalf of our client Scottish Power, I am seeking an experienced Senior Finance / Accounting professional to support financial governance, OPEX budget management, and team leadership within a fast-paced environment. This role does not require a qualified accountant, but does require strong financial, accounting, and governance experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee financial governance, controls, and reporting
- Manage and review OPEX budgets and expenditure
- Provide senior financial support to stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and robust financial processes
Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop finance team
- Set clear priorities, provide coaching, and uplift capability
Systems & Tools
- Strong SAP experience is essential
- Experience with ServiceNow is highly desirable
- General IT systems knowledge and confidence working with technology teams is a plus
Candidate Profile
- Senior finance or accounting professional (qualification not essential)
- Strong governance, budgeting, and operational finance background
- Comfortable stepping into an urgent, short-term assignment
- Confident leader with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
